A CLA government will repeal more laws than any other government in Australia’s history. This will include the repeal of DEI, woke, nanny state and anti-discrimination laws, and result in a large reduction in government’s executive function and therefore also in the size of our public sector.
CLA will not permit government to discriminate (so no quotas or diversity targets – its decisions must be solely merit based) but individuals and companies will be permitted to discriminate. If a person wants to establish a group, that person will be free to decide on eligibility, codes of conduct, and so on. If a person decides to establish a business, that person will be free to decide who to employ and who to sell its products and services to and who not to sell to. Society will however be free to criticise and even ridicule those who discriminate for whatever reason.
A CLA government will treat voters as adults able to make decisions for themselves. Government may provide information to help people make the right decision but will not make decisions for them or force decisions on them.
