Return of the ISIS brides & their children

Tony Burke and Labour leadership long denied, time and time again, that government was making arrangements for the return of the ‘ISIS brides’ and their children to Australia. Given Labour’s history of pathological lying and lack of transparency, it was apparent that arrangements were being made for their return. Those denials continued almost to the day the first group landed back in Australia. That dishonesty and lack of transparency shows that Labour leadership see themselves as our rulers, not as our representatives. That lack of dishonesty, lack of transparency and attitude is disgraceful and should be condemned in strong terms.  That will not happen under an Classic Liberals Australia government – as we have a very different attitude and commit to transparent government.

Given that their return was being arranged with government for many months, why has government not provided us with their plan for ensuring that those women and their children do not and will not pose a security threat, and why have they not shown their plan for ensuring those women and their children will not be a long term burden on us – continually relying on social welfare. Since government has not disclosed such plans, it is more likely that it has not developed one. Without a well thought out plan, government is not only failing in its core duty to keep us safe and failing in its duty not to waste our money, it is showing us that it is either incompetent or ambivalent to our safety and well-being.

Are these women and their children to be released back to the very families that either radicalised them or allowed them to be radicalised, back into the very communities that radicalised them and allowed them to be radicalised and back to the very mosques where they were brainwashed or otherwise convinced to hate us and our values? It appears so.

Have their families, community, mosques made any commitment to look after those women and their children? Probably not – so they will live off us – live off the social welfare we fund – for years to come. Have they made any commitment to ensure these women and their children won’t pose a safety risk to us? Probably not.

Consider that for a moment! Here we have families, communities and mosques that either radicalised these women when they were very young adults, basically still children, or allowed them to be radicalised, and the rest of us carry the burden of funding their lives, the lives of people who hated, and may still, hate us. How is that acceptable?

We shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that the ISIS brides (at least most of them) were very young adults, basically still children, when they left to join ISIS or marry an ISIS man and bear their children. How they behaved over the years is another issue that needs to be considered – but even then they may have felt that their lives were in danger. That needs to be established. Nevertheless, at the time they made the decision to leave, they were basically still children who were heavily influenced / brainwashed by others. So, we need to find out how they became radicalised and hold those parties to account, hold those responsible who allowed their radicalisation, who knew but failed to stop it, and so on. They need to be held responsible – and that should include being responsible for the well-being and living expenses of those women and their children.  Has our labour government indicated any intention to do so? Apparently, not.

Have these women, all now well into adulthood, apologised for their decision to join ISIS, a terrorist group that killed many innocent people and intent to kill all non-Muslims? Have they changed their beliefs? Have they committed to adopt and promote our Judeo-Chistian values?  Unless we’re told and convinced otherwise, we can only conclude they haven’t and still pose a security risk.

Those who continue to vote for politicians and political parties that do not ensure our safety, are not transparent in their dealings or are corrupt, are a major cause of the problems we face as a nation. If you are one of those people, Classic Liberals Australia is not for you – we want the opposite.
